WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) is a global environmental NGO working to transform systems toward a circular economy by reducing waste and improving resource efficiency. It collaborates with governments, businesses and civil society to redesign food, textiles and plastics systems.
WRAP leads major food-waste prevention initiatives, including Love Food Hate Waste, and international programmes aligned with SDG 12.3 to halve global food waste. Addressing bio-waste, it promotes supply-chain efficiency, surplus redistribution, consumer behaviour change, and improved collection and valorisation of organic waste. Beyond food, WRAP advances recycling systems, sustainable product design, extended producer responsibility (EPR), and evidence-based policies that minimize waste generation, increase material recovery, and lower greenhouse-gas emissions worldwide.
