CirBioWaste is a 27 months Interreg Euro-MED transfer project that started on April 1st, 2025. The project aims to enhance environmental resilience and support the transition to an efficient and circular bioeconomy in the Mediterranean area. It does so by promoting significant changes in behavior, governance, and management practices related to bio-waste, while closing its value chain loop-yielding notable environmental and economic benefits. To help reverse the current situation, CirBioWaste will transfer existing, innovative, and validated solutions for sustainable bio-waste management, adapted to various local contexts. Strategies and action plans -including policy recommendations and practical guidelines for implementing the proposed solutions- will be co-developed with targeted entities and key local stakeholders.
