The Green Fund (GF; Greek: ΠΡΑΣΙΝΟ ΤΑΜΕΙΟ) iis a public legal entity in Greece supervised by the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEEN), established under Law 3889/2010 to promote sustainable development through environmental protection. It administers revenues from environmental taxes, fines and EU funds to finance projects aligned with national environmental and climate policy.
Its priorities include biodiversity protection, climate resilience, forest and marine conservation, waste prevention and environmental balance. While not directly implementing bio-waste projects, it finances integrated waste management measures, including organic waste prevention, bio-waste processing and municipal system improvements, and participates in strategic initiatives such as LIFE-IP Circular Greece.
GF is an associated partner in the CirBioWaste project.
